Job Description:
As a Project Coordinator you will play a critical role in facilitating the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects from inception to completion. Working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, you will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements, project objectives, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering teams to establish project milestones, deliverables, and timelines, and monitor progress against established targets.

Resource Allocation and Management:
- Coordinate the allocation of resources, including manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors, to support project activities and meet project requirements.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and supplies as per project needs.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and correspondence, and ensure proper filing and record-keeping.
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and project documentation for internal review and client communication, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.

Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, requests, and communications, both internally and externally.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify workmanship, adherence to specifications, and compliance with project requirements.

Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Identify project risks, issues, and challenges in a timely manner and collaborate with project teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Proactively address and resolve project-related issues, conflicts, and deviations from plans to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in the civil engineering or construction industry.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management processes.
Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards governing civil engineering projects.
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
