Procurement & Accountant Officer

The Procurement and Accountant Officer plays a pivotal role in managing the organization’s procurement processes and financial transactions. This position involves overseeing the acquisition of goods and services, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate financial records. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement:

    • Identify potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
    • Collaborate with department heads to understand procurement needs and specifications.
    • Evaluate supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality and compliance.
    • Implement and enforce procurement policies and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and activities.
    • Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and potential risks to make informed procurement decisions.
    • Participate in the development of procurement strategies.
  2. Accounting:

    • Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with accounting standards.
    • Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
    • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
    • Provide financial information to management and other stakeholders as needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have experience working in Healthcare sector or similar.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  3. Proven experience as a Procurement Officer and/or Accountant, or in similar roles.
  4. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Knowledge of procurement regulations, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  6. Proficiency in procurement and accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Attention to detail, accuracy in financial reporting, and strong analytical skills.
