Job Description:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Accountant Plus Procurement Specialist to join our team. This unique role requires a blend of operational accounting expertise and comprehensive procurement skills, tailored to the construction industry in the UAE. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our daily accounting operations and enhancing our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Accounting Functions:

  • Manage daily accounting tasks including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in cash flow management and operational budget tracking.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure proper accounting of all transactions.

Procurement Duties:

  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and acquisition of construction materials and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends and procurement best practices.
  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various teams to streamline operations and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new operational and procurement procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in all financial and procurement activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in operational accounting and procurement, preferably in the UAE construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procurement strategies.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office, and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
